That preoccupation continued in coverage of Thursday's debate among Democratic contenders. Beltway reporters barely addressed most of the discussion.

Voters would be better served if big league reporters and commentators would put the Hillary fascination behind them. She's a woman running for president. Get used to it.

Citizens need to know much more about where various presidential candidates stand on issues of the day. The upcoming race should be about their political positions, not about gender and personality.
