East Central Energy is accepting applications from students in grades 10-12 for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour.

The ECE-sponsored trip combines learning and laughter into an exciting, educational adventure June 15-20 in Washington, D.C.

Two local high schools students will be chosen to get a glimpse of history, government in action and peer fellowship during the six-day, all-expenses paid trip to the nation's capital.

Students on the youth tour will participate in leadership training, engage in one-on-one conversations with elected officials, jumpstart their national peer network and tour the nation's capital.

As part of the application process, students write an essay on a topic provided by ECE. Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges, and the top two students will each receive the trip to Washington, D.C.
