The Solon Springs girls basketball team got 19 points from Rachel Hanley in a 57-31 win over Shell Lake Tuesday night in the SSHS gym.

Kate Klinzing also chipped in with 12 points and Salann Gilbert had 11 as the Eagles advance to Thursday's WIAA regional semifinal game at 7 p.m. at Siren.

The Dragons advanced with a 87-30 win over the South Shore Cardinals.

The winner of Saturday's game will play the winner of Northwood and Drummond at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Webster.

Solon Springs also got eight points from Lorin Larson, three from Chanda Deming and two apiece from Lydia Utyro and Grace Larson.

Steph Clark led Shell Lake with 14 points, all coming from the free-throw line.

Solon Springs led 13-8, 29-15 and 42-19 after the first three quarters. The Eagles made 5-of-10 free throws to outscore the Lakers 15-12 in the fourth quarter.

Solon Springs was 9-of-14 from the line and Shell Lake 18-of-24.
