The Duluth People's Climate March joins 250 sister marches around the globe Saturday to stand up for our communities and climate.

With the theme of "We Resist, We Build, We Rise" the marchers are celebrating local leadership and initiatives, and demanding broader action. The march supports a just transition to a new, clean energy economy that directly and rapidly reduces greenhouse gas and toxic pollution to successfully combat climate change and improve public health.

The Duluth march begins at 1 p.m. at Leif Erikson Park with a brief rally, then proceeds three-fourths of a mile down the Lakewalk to Lake Place Park. During the closing gathering information will be shared on many pathways for climate action on the local, state and national levels. This is an event for all ages, and everyone is encouraged to bring their own signs and banners to express hopes and concerns.
