Dining out event helps CASDA provide services

Area restaurants are partnering with the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse Thursday to raise awareness and money for services that aid victim of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. This will be the third annual Dine Out to End Abuse.

Participating in this year's event are 16 restaurants in the Twin Ports and rural Douglas County, where CASDA provides a majority of its services. In Superior and Douglas County, they include Big Apple Bagels and Deli, Braunvieh Cafe and Farmer's Restaurant, Bridgeman's Embers, Culver's, Eddie's World Famous Ribs, The Galley Restaurant on Barker's Island, Lan-Chi's, Le Bistro, Old Town Bar and Restaurant, The Shack Smokehouse and Grill, Thirsty Pagan Brewing, Dreamland Supper Club in South Range and Rapid's Riverside in South Range.

In Duluth, participating restaurants include At Sara's Table, Northern Waters Smokehaus and Saigon Cafe.

This event was planned in April to recognize Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month.
