Dear Pastor,

My wife and I just got married a couple of years ago and we seem to be fighting a lot about money. I want to buy a pool table for us to enjoy when family and friends come over. My wife doesn't want to get one because she thinks they are too expensive. Can you help us out?

Sincerely,

Fun Seeker

I can understand about wanting to have certain things. I would love to have a boat to go fishing and have fun with the family. However, I can't afford a boat. I don't know what your financial situation is but I do know that many young couples get themselves into trouble financially because they want to have all the things that their parents had. They forget that it took their parents a long time to get the things they have. We want everything now. Do you need a pool table? No. Do you want one? Yes. For the sake of the relationship, let it go. You never know. You may just get your pool table when you least expect it. I'll be praying for you.
