48, Olympia, Wash., formerly of Superior, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at St. Peter's Hospital while undergoing treatment for lung cancer.
She is survived by her sons, Miguel Rodriguez, Christian Ramirez and Mathew Ramirez; one granddaughter, Selena; sisters, Carolyn (Clayton) Crandall of Gilbert, Ariz., Karen (John) Kirscht, Eau Claire, Dianne (Brian) Nichols, Olympia, Rita (Earl Poferl) Maki, Cloquet, and Janice Sarkiaho, Superior; and brother, Kurt Sarkiaho, Winona, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Clara Sarkiaho of Superior and a sister, Marlys Tuura (August 2007).
Darlene will be remembered for the love and dedication that she gave to her family, especially her three sons.
A private memorial service for family and close friends took place.
