Two men wanted for a home invasion and shooting in St. Cloud were apprehended Friday by Duluth and Superior police in what was described by local authorities as a "high-risk search warrant."

The Duluth Police Department's Tactical Response Team responded to the 100 block of Harbor Highlands Drive, where Gabriel Josiah Harding and Malik Rashaad McCurtis-Loyd were believed to be staying, according to a news release. The department executed the search warrant just after 11:15 a.m., after being contacted by the St. Cloud Police Department.

Duluth police said they requested the assistance of the Superior Police Department and its armored vehicle, "which kept the community safe and helped (officers) peacefully and safely resolve this situation."

Officers seized the cellphones of the two men, along with a vehicle that was believed to be used in the St. Cloud incident, Duluth police said.

Harding and McCurtis-Loyd, both 19, were booked into the St. Louis County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. Details of the St. Cloud incident were not immediately clear.
