A Superior man was bound over for arraignment in Douglas County Circuit Court on Aug. 14 for the alleged sexual assault of two children.
Yuval Isadorous Bixler, 18, faces two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 16 by use or threat of force or violence.
He remained in custody at the Douglas County Jail on Thursday, Aug. 22, with a cash bond set at $6,000, according to online records. Bixler was also ordered to have no contact with the reported victims and no contact with minor females under age 16.
According to the criminal complaints, Bixler assaulted one child at a residence and the other on two different bridges along trails in Superior. The children were both under age 16 at the time of the reported assaults, which took place in 2017 and 2018.
If convicted, Bixler faces a maximum penalty of 40 years of imprisonment for each of the repeated sexual assault charges and a sentence of up to 60 years of imprisonment for the first degree assault charge. His next court appearance was set for Oct. 18.
