Superior police investigate Family Dollar robbery

Superior police detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Family Dollar store, 110 Belknap St. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money after brandishing a black semi automatic handgun at the clerk, according to a release from Captain Thomas Champaigne.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with chin hair, a mustache and a "crooked" left eye. He was wearing a black and red or orange hooded sweatshirt, a Minnesota Gopher's football jacket and black sweatpants.The Superior Police Department released a surveillance camera photo of the suspect on its Facebook page Thursday, Oct. 4, seeking information from the public.
