It wouldn't be the holidays without stocking stuffers. A group of volunteers is looking for help to that delight to children this holiday season.

Charitable Crafters, a Duluth-based group that knits, sews, quilts, and crochets for local charitable donation, invites the community to support their 2007 Stuff a Stocking Campaign.

The project culminates at the Charitable Crafters 10,000th donation celebration, which will be held at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth on Nov. 17. The stockings and donated stocking stuffers will come together and volunteers and community members will be stuffing the stockings and preparing them for delivery to area social service organizations.

Ideas for stocking stuffers include baby care items, coloring books and crayons, story books, hats, mittens, scarves, gift cards from area businesses, warm socks, gum, card games, batteries, craft kits, watches, adult bath/hygiene items, movie theater gift certificates, disposable cameras and chapstick.

Donation bins for stocking stuffers are located at Yarn Harbor next to the Mt. Royal library, Fabric Works on Tower Avenue in Superior, the craft department at the Hermantown Wal-Mart, Sister's Scrapbooking and Crafts in Cloquet, and Tinderbox, 22 N. Second Ave. E. The deadline for donations is Nov. 10.
