Douglas County has experienced its fair share of rain this week, and it looks like the forecast calls for another wave through the weekend.

Our highway and forestry departments continue to monitor the weather and its effects on our roadways, trails, bridges and parks. Public safety is a top priority of Douglas County, so stay alert to updates of potential closings or detours. Continue to monitor the county website throughout the weekend and visit the homepage for "Douglas County Headlines."
