'Tis the season to go shopping, and the Grinch is out to make the holiday season less merry for merchants.
Superior police are warning merchants to be on the lookout for counterfeit currency.
Superior police have received several calls about counterfeit bills being passed throughout the city.
Denominations include $100, $50 and $20 bills. Among those collected so far was a $100 bill with serial number DB45427943C, which was a "very obvious" counterfeit, according to Detective Michael Jaszczak.
Others included a $50 bill, serial number AB22104963D and $20 bills with serial numbers ED47090986B and GJ46454944A.
