City moves to clear away last week's snowfall

With the significant amount of snowfall in the city last week and over the weekend, the city of Superior would like to thank our community for its patience while street crews move through the clean-up process.

With the significant amount of snowfall in the city last week and over the weekend, the city of Superior would like to thank our community for its patience while street crews move through the clean-up process.

A general schedule for work this week is:

Monday city crews will be out with graders removing snow from the side of the street where cars were parked until Sunday. Corners will be rounded for visibility and snow banks pushed back into the boulevards. Crews will also be clearing city parking lots as well as removing snow from major school crossings.

Tuesday major snow removal begins on Tower Ave between North 8th and North 16th streets. Banks will be removed and hauled away.

Wednesday major snow removal begins on Belknap Street from Banks Avenue to about Grand Avenue.

Thursday major snow removal continues on Belknap Street from Grand Avenue to Hill Avenue.

Friday major snow removal runs from North 16th Street to North 28th Street on Tower Avenue.

In addition, throughout the week, crews will be removing snow from the smaller business districts with loaders as well as cutting back major intersections where snow is restricting vision.
