"Rocking With Joy" is the theme for the Aug. 27 meeting of the Superior Christian Women's Gathering, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Barker's Island Inn, Michigan/Ontario Room, 300 Marina Drive. Tickets are $11, including program, meal, tip and tax.
Special feature is Dina Maki of Superior. Maki's topic is "Foster Grandparent Program." Main speaker is Deb Gerard of Florence, Wis. The title of her presentation is "My Journey from Fear to Joy." A motivational speaker and educational consultant, Gerard enjoys sharing with women about life lessons. She challenges ladies to invite others to these gatherings.
