If you're traveling today, you'd better check with the airline before you head to the airport.
The storm dumping up to a foot of snow on Chicago and St. Louis and turning runways to slush in Milwaukee, Detroit and other cities is having a predictable impact on schedules at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Problems with ice, snow and flight schedules are affecting airports in Oklahoma and Texas as well.
"We don't have numbers, but we do know that flights are being canceled and delayed," said Pat Hogan, spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
Some flights aren't arriving or aren't on time because of stack-ups at Chicago O'Hare and other airports, he said. Flights from here are being delayed to accommodate air traffic at snowy destinations.

Hogan said flight schedules with various airlines are changing by the minute.
Travelers should check with the customer service offices at their airlines, or check the airlines' Web sites for updated information about flight schedules before heading to the airport, he said.
