Superior native Kenneth Cross, 20, was killed by a roadside bomb Sunday in Iraq, according to Gerald Nelson, a cousin.

Recently married and residing in the state of Washington, he had served one year in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Baghdad. His rank and assignment were not immediately available.

Nelson grew up with Cross, who said his family is in shock.
