The BOLD-choice Theatre Co. has created an original production entitled "Beauty and the BEASTs."

The public premiere starts at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Fregeau Auditorium at the Marshall School in Duluth.

BOLD-choice is a theatre company created by CHOICE, unlimited; an employment and community support service for adults with disabilities. BOLD provides a unique style of theatre performance that exposes community and student audiences to the talents of individuals with disabilities; opening new channels for dialogue and providing a venue to "talk" across barriers.

"Beauty and the BEASTs" is an original, 50-minute piece created by BOLD-choice based on the Disney version of the fairy tale. In the BOLD version of the tale, Beauty discovers there are many "beasts" that we encounter throughout life. As the story unfolds, the tale is interrupted at times to allow the actors to express their stories of reality and inner beauty. The audience experiences a fun and entertaining world of outrageous characters that bring a fairy tale into today's reality.

"Beauty and the BEASTs" will be available to tour to schools throughout the 2007-2008 school year.

Last year's public premiere of Alice and the creatures of Wonderland sold out to standing room only. The newly renovated Fregeau Auditorium will comfortably accommodate a much larger audience for this year's public premiere.

A $5 donation is requested at the door. Children under 6 are free.
