The Douglas County Treasurer reminds residents the first half, or full installment, of real

estate taxes is due to the Treasurer's Office by Jan. 31.

For taxpayers in the towns of Dairyland and Highland, January payment is paid to the local town treasurer as noted on tax bill.

Douglas County and City of Superior offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

There are several county government meetings scheduled for next week:

• Forest, Parks and Recreation will meet Monday, Dec. 17, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Forestry Headquarters, 9182 East Hughes Ave., Solon Springs.

• The Department Managers meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 9-11 a.m. in Room 270 of the Government Center.

• Also meeting Dec. 18 is the Land Information Council from 1-3 p.m. in Room 207C of the Douglas County Courthouse.

• On Wednesday, Dec. 19, the DCRLF Board Executive Committee is meeting from 2-3 p.m. in Room 207C of the courthouse.

• The County Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 20, from 6-8 p.m. in Room 201 of the chambers boardroom of the Government Center.
