Drivers who normally travel on Belknap Street between Hill and Catlin avenues should prepare for a six-day shutdown starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.
The closure is expected to remain in effect until 6 a.m. June 30 to complete storm sewer and water main installations. Catlin Avenue will remain open during the closure and Hill Avenue will remain open until Wednesday, at which time traffic should use Elm Avenue.
Access to businesses will remain open during the closure and a three-day notice for any interruption to water service will be issued.
During the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the contractor will not be working on the project, between noon June 30 and 6 a.m. July 5.
