The Northwood Evergreens knocked off state-ranked Prairie Farm 3-2 Monday night on the road.
Prairie Farm entered the game as the seventh-ranked team among Wisconsin's Division 3 baseball teams and was in first place of the West Lake Conference. The loss drops the Panthers to 7-2 overall.
The win improves the Evergreens to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in the WLC.
Derek Denninger went the distance for Northwood, allowing one earned run on seven hits, two walks and nine strikeouts.
At the plate for the Evergreens, Gus Morley was 3-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored. Reese Stariha was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Zach Haynes scored Northwood's first run when he walked in the first inning and scored on a fielder's choice by Kevin Briskey.
Northwood hosts Bayfield at 5 p.m. today.
