Bloomer defeated the Northwestern High School baseball team 16-2 in five innings Thursday evening in Maple.
The Blackhawks took the lead in the first inning, scoring three runs, and never gave it up. After two inning, Bloomer led 8-1. Northwestern held Bloomer scoreless in the next two innings, while adding a run of its own, to make the score 8-2. But the Blackhawks scored eight more runs in the fifth inning to end the game early and get the win over the Tigers.
Four players had two hits each for Bloomer, and four others had one hit apiece.
Northwestern's Justin Kaiser was 2-for-2 and scored both runs. Donnie Hissa added two hits and Michael Lindsey had one.
The Tigers host Barron at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
