TOWN OF MEEME, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities in Manitowoc County say a suspected drunk driver killed a bicyclist in a hit-and-run incident.

Police say a 39-year-old rural Kiel resident was driving a pickup truck that struck the bicyclist from behind, just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Town of Meeme, northeast of Kiel.

The victim was a 48-year-old rural Kiel resident who was wearing a helmet and reflective clothing. The victim was found in the ditch by a passing motorist, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup driver did not stop, but was later found and taken to the Manitowoc County jail pending charges.

The names and genders of those involved has not been released.
