The Animal Rescue Federation, Inc. (ARF) of Superior will hold its second annual Pet Photo Contest to select pictures for the ARF 2007 Calendar of Rescues.
The pet photos selected for the calendar must feature an animal rescued from any animal shelter. To submit a photo of a rescued pet, send the photo along with the pet's name and a 100 word or less description of the pet to ARF Pet Photo Contest, 1225 Tower Ave. 301, Superior WI 54880. Submissions may also be e-mailed to animalrescuefederation@yahoo.com . The deadline for submissions is Sept. 1.
The top 12 photos will be highlighted for each month of the year. Additional smaller photos of runners-up will be featured throughout the calendar.
The ARF 2007 Calendar of Rescues is a fundraising project for ARF. The money raised from the sale of the calendars will be used for ARF's animal adoption program. ARF is a charitable non-profit organization devoted to the welfare and humane treatment of animals.
