Applications for fuel assistance due May 15

Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency reports the last day to apply for fuel assistance will be May 15. Any household that has not applied for assistance since October of 2006 may apply on or before May 15.

Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency reports the last day to apply for fuel assistance will be May 15. Any household that has not applied for assistance since October of 2006 may apply on or before May 15.

To apply, an applicant must produce proof of income for the prior three months, fuel and electric costs for the months of September of 2005 through August of 2006. Fuel costs must be for the home in which the applicant now lives. A household that heats with wood or has heat included in the rent is eligible to apply and should call for information. Applicants that live in subsidized housing are eligible to apply if their heat is not included in their rent.

Proof of income can be, but is not limited to, all check stubs for the prior three months, copies of social security award letter, statements from employers verifying gross income.

Applicants must produce social security cards for every household member. Income guidelines areas follows and are for three months income: 1 -- $3675; 2 -- $4950; 3 -- $6225; 4 -- $7500; 5 -- $8775; 6 -- $10,050, 7 -- $11,325; 8 -- 12,600.
