Poplar teen injured in snowmobile crash
A 14-year-old boy from Poplar was injured Sunday in a snowmobile accident in the town of Drummond, Wisconsin.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, Great Divide Paramedics and Drummond Fire Department responded to the crash around 3:20 p.m.
According to the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, the boy was traveling with a group of 15 snowmobiles northbound on North Delta Road. He was going too fast for a corner in the road, drifted across and left the road. The snowmobile rolled over and ejected the operator; the snowmobile and rider collided into trees.
The boy was transported to Drummond, where he was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth.
An update on the boy's condition was unavailable, according to the sheriff's office.
