Superior's "Tribute Tree" program encourages people to honor individuals, groups or recognize a special occasion through a growing legacy. In the photos, the Parks & Recreation Department planted a maple tree for Maryanne Peters, Pictured above with City Council President Ed Anderson, in honor of her late husband, Floyd Peters Sr. At right, Mike Peters and Rick Heckman plant the tree at Peters' Billings Park home. For $150, buyers receive the tree, which is planted on a public boulevard selected by the donor, by Parks and Recreation Department employees. It's guarangeed for one year and receives lifetime city care.
