Police said Sunday night that a threat made on social media against Superior Middle School was not credible and that the parties responsible for the threat have been identified.
A Superior Police Department news release described the 6-second video post, in which a male voice threatened to "shoot up" the school, as "shocking and alarming." Police and the Superior school district worked together to investigate and address the threat, the release stated.
The school will be open and have a regular schedule Monday, according to a district statement. Extra patrols will be on hand as a precautionary measure, but police reported that they don't believe there is any lingering threat.
In the department's news release Sunday night, Superior police declined to provide any information about the parties involved.
