Dems challenging Duffy face off at event

Three Democratic candidates vying for the chance to unseat Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, R-Weston, speak during a public meeting 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 17 at the Cable Community Center. They include attorney Margaret Engebretson, a U.S. military veteran who lives in Balsam Lake, Dr. Brian Ewert, a kidney physician from Marshfield and small business owner Kyle Frenette of Chetek.

Duffy, who represents the 7th District in the U.S. House of Representatives is up for re-election Nov. 4.

Learn who the candidates are, what they value and how each plans to represent their constituents on critical issues. Each candidate will provide an opening statement followed by a question and answer session featuring questions from the audience and final closing statements.

The meeting is organized by Up North Engaged, a local citizen's group. The Mission of Up North Engaged is to be an informed and engaged citizenry committed to protecting our constitutional rights, our shared planet, and each other.
