Motorcyclist killed in Lino Lakes, Minn., crash
LINO LAKES, Minn. -- A crash killed a motorcyclist, injured the driver of a vehicle and started a grass fire in Lino Lakes on Friday. Lino Lakes police and firefighters responded about 2:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, to a crash between a motorcycle and vehicle at 20th Avenue and Rehbein Street. The motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lino Lakes is on the northeastern edge of the Twin Cities metro area.
Emergency responders provided medical assistance to people in the vehicle and extinguished the grass fire. North Memorial Health ambulance took the vehicle's driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
