The Head of the Lakes Junior Fair provided opportunities for 4-H members to exhibit projects they have been working on throughout the year, experience face-to-face judging of their exhibits, and feel pride in their accomplishments. Judges have the option of awarding grand and reserve champions in different fair departments for outstanding exhibits.

The following 4-H youth exhibitors received grand champion, reserve champion, or other distinguished awards during the 2008 Head of the Lakes Fair.

Dairy cattle: Chelsea Carlson, senior showmanship; Sara Garland, beginner showmanship.

Beef cattle: Daniel Litchke, grand champion steer; Brandon Copp, reserve champion steer; Travis Abrahamzon, overall beef breeding stock; Chelsea Carlson, senior showmanship; Brooke Pearson, intermediate showmanship; Steven Markon, beginner showmanship.
