Superior: The Superior Eagles Club holds a fish fry from 4-8 p.m. at 1710 N. 12th St. Fish, popcorn shrimp, chicken strips, a combo plate and a special will be on the menu each week. Superior: Superstition Tours take place at Fairlawn Mansion from 8-10 p.m. Only offered a few times a year, the superstition tours focus on some of the more unusual beliefs and traditions of the Victorian era. Cost is $8 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and students. This tour is not recommended for children 5 and under. The last tour will leave at 9 p.m.

Saturday

Superior: An open-air farmer's market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot near the SS Meteor on Barker's Island. The farmer's market takes place rain or shine every Saturday through October.

Hawthorne: The Aurora Ouisconsin Outdoor Club 3-D Archery & Coon Shoot, 40 target 3-D shoot. Shooting hours are Saturday, 9-dusk, Sunday, 9-2 p.m. $12 one time, $15 all day, $20 all weekend, kids 12-16 $5 discount, kids under 12 shoot free. Coon shoot Saturday at dusk. Pattison Park: The children of Ruby and the late Elmer Beetcher are planning a family reunion noon to 6 p.m. at the Pattison State Park Pavilion. Extended family and friends are invited. A potluck lunch will be served starting at noon. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share.

Duluth: Doug Wood signs copies of "Where the Sunrise Begins" from noon to 1 p.m. Kate St. Vincent Vogl signs copies of "Lost & Found" from 1-2 p.m. and Dean Hovey signs copies of "Unforgettable: A Pine County Mystery" from 2-3 p.m. at Northern Lights Books and Gifts, 307 Canal Park Drive.

Lake Minnesuing: The Lake Minnesuing Association holds an ice cream social from 1-4 p.m. at Lake Minnesuing Park. Information on planned improvements to the park will also be on provided during the event.

Superior: The Superior Youth Organization embarked on a fundraising campaign to build a new concession for the Babe Ruth and softball fields. There will be a "Back to School" fashion show featuring 40 baseball/softball players and their families as models. Cost is $15, which includes lunch and a donation. Duluth: The Friends of the Duluth Public Library invites you to the annual used book sale 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today and Thursday and the bag sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Shop for bargain books, CDs, DVDs and books on tape. A silent auction will be held with older and rarer books. All proceeds go toward Duluth Public Library book and media purchases and library programs.
