A 73-68 win over UW-Stevens Point kept Wisconsin State University Conference title hopes alive for the UW-Superior Yellowjackets. The effective full-court press the 'Jackets used was the difference in the game, swarming over the Pointers and forcing 25 turnovers that led to easy points. Dave Cochran paced the UWS attack with 17 points, Willie (Fly) Reed added 16, and Rob Rison scored 13. The swarming defense resulted in the team being called the "Killer Bees." The 14-8 'Jackets are 8-5 in the conference. (1978)

The Northwestern Tigers outscored Cumberland 15-6 in the fourth quarter to record a 63-60 win in a Heart O' North Conference game. Stu Carter and Rich Heytens led the Tiger scoring attack with 22 and 15 points. (1981)
