Slippery road conditions have forced the postponement of the Northwestern High School boys basketball game with Ladysmith tonight. This is the second time the match has been called off because of poor weather. The game was originally to be played Jan. 16 but was rescheduled because of extreme cold temperatures.
The game has been rescheduled for Thursday at Maple.
The cancellation also means junior Steve Tecker will have to wait one more day before he gets a chance to score his 1,000th point.
Tecker is currently just 14 points away from the milestone. Only two NHS players have previously reached 1,000 points: Scott Raivala in 1983 and Ryan Moore in 1998.
The Tigers next host Hermantown Tuesday and then play another home game Friday against Spooner.
