APPLETON (AP) -- Fourteen French language students from Neenah High School are stranded in Paris because ash from a volcano in Iceland has grounded flights across Europe.
The students and their teacher were scheduled to leave Paris on Saturday, after a two-week stay in France. But now they won't leave until Tuesday -- at the earliest.
The students have a place to stay while stranded.
The Neenah students aren't the only ones from the area who can't come home.
The Appleton Post-Crescent also reports that a group of 37 Fox Valley residents who toured the Netherlands are awaiting a flight out of Amsterdam. They, too, are scheduled to leave Tuesday.
