A total of 18,917 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Wisconsin as of Tuesday, June 2, according to the state Department of Health Services . That's an increase of 374 cases from the day before.
Twelve more people have died from COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 607.
The number of negative tests in the state was 263,743, an increase of 10,148 from the day before.
Douglas and Bayfield counties did not see an increase in cases on Tuesday, according to DHS. Douglas County had 19 confirmed cases, with 1,354 people who tested negative for the illness. Bayfield County had three confirmed cases, with 399 people who tested negative. Bayfield County has reported one death from COVID-19.
Of the people who have tested positive for the new coronavirus, 14% — or 2,643 people — have been hospitalized because of the virus as of Tuesday. DHS reported that officials don't know the hospitalization history of 5,792 people, or 31%.

Tuesday's report also showed that 64% of those with confirmed cases have recovered from the illness.
Wisconsin's daily testing capacity was 15,115 as of Tuesday. An increase in the number of tests being done is one reason for the increase in the number of positive cases. The percentage of positive tests over the last several days was:
- 5.4% on Friday, May 29
- 5.3% on Saturday, May 30
- 2.3% on Sunday, May 31
- 3.9% on Monday, June 1
- 3.6% on Tuesday, June 2
All of Wisconsin's 72 counties have confirmed cases of the illness.
