Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank will distribute free boxes of food from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 8, at Wessman Arena on the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus.

There are no eligibility restrictions. Anyone who is in need of food is welcome. Distributions will take place in a drive-thru format.

The boxes are part of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, which was created in May to provide support to farmers, maintain the integrity of the food supply chain and provide access to needed food. The boxes include produce, dairy, meat and cheese.

During its first CFAP distribution, which took place June 10 at Wessman Arena, Second Harvest provided more than 46,000 pounds of food to 680 households.
