Saturday

Duluth: Peter Brown, jazz piano and organ, performs a student recital at 3 p.m., and Gerald Sakamaki, cello, performs at 7:30 p.m. in Weber Music Hall at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Free.

Superior: Enjoy sledding, snowshoeing and a candlelight hike from 4-8 p.m. during Winter Fest at Pattison State Park. The event also features crafts, a bonfire, s'mores, chili and hot chocolate. The candlelight hike runs 6-8 p.m. Participants should bring their own gear. A park pass is required at a reduced daily rate for the event.

Duluth: Emily Holter, soprano, performs a student recital at 7:30 p.m. in Weber Music Hall at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Free.

Monday

Duluth: The Minnesota Department of Transportation scheduled two identical meetings to discuss the proposed project to replace the Interstate 35, I-535 and Highway 53 interchange, commonly known as the can of worms. The meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with a presentation starting at 11:45 a.m. and 6: 15 p.m. at Clyde Iron Works, 2920 W. Tuesday

Duluth: Junior High Honor Band performs a free concert at 4 p.m. at the Marshall Performing Arts Center at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
