Northern artists exhibit in Madison

Twenty visual artists, musicians and writers from northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan share their creations exploring their relationships to the Penokee Mountain Range in an exhibit titled "Penokee: Explore the Iron Hills."

This exhibit will first be shown at the State Capitol Rotunda in Madison on the second floor, June 2-10, with an opening reception 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 2. The exhibit will also highlight metallic mining history, natural history, geology and cultural and Native American perspectives. Participating artists include Terry Daulton, Phil Kucera, Azael Meza, Ann Singsaas, Diane Daulton, Sara Balbin, Diana Randolph, Peg Sandin, Joan Molloy Slack, Amanda Szot, Anna Metcalfe, John Bates, Mary Burns, Frank Hutton, Jeff Richter, Pete Rasmussen, Andy Noyes, Frank Montano, Poca Adams and April Stone Dahl.
