Spring hours are about to take effect at the Evelyn Goldberg Briggs Memorial Library in Iron River. Starting the first week of March, the library will be open noon-8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The library board has hired a new full-time library director. Courtney Dietsche received her masters in library and information science degree in 2003 from Dominican University and has enjoyed working in both public and academic libraries during the past several years.
