ORDINANCE # O22-4276 AN ORDINANCE INTRODUCED BY THE HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 46-2, ELECTIONS, COMPENSATION OF ELECTION INSPECTORS The Common Council of the City of Superior, Wisconsin does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 46-2 Compensation of Election Workers Sec. 46-2. Compensation of election inspectors (a) Election inspectors shall be paid at the hourly rate outlined in the salary schedule to attend training for and provide election services; a $10.00 per diem will paid to inspectors who work a double-shift on election day. (b) Each special voting deputy shall receive a minimum of $30.00 each day they assist absentee voters residing in established care facilities within this community. (c) Each chief election inspector shall receive a minimum of $30.00 each day they assist in streamlining polling location procedures for municipal elections. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, unconstitutional by reason of any decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of any other section, subsection, sentence or clause or phrase or portion thereof. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication, as provided by law. Passed and adopted this 21st day of June, 2022.
