AN ORDINANCE INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE, SCHEDULE J, UPDATING THE WORDING OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING The Common Council of the City of Superior, Wisconsin does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Schedule J, Disabled Accessible Parking Zones (Sec. 112-61(a)(1))
The on-street parking areas listed in "Schedule J - Disabled Accessible Parking Zones," which is made part of this section by reference, are hereby designated as disabled parking zones and shall be reserved for parking by persons authorized under Wis. Stats. § 346.50(2)(a) and (3). When official traffic signs indicating such restriction have been erected, no person shall park, stop, or leave standing any vehicle upon any portion of a street, highway, or public or private parking facility reserved for vehicles displaying special registration plates or identification cards or emblems issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation or, for vehicles registered in another jurisdiction, by such other jurisdiction designating the vehicle as one used by a physically disabled person person with a disability.
All of table in Schedule J remains the same accept for the following:
East 4th Street - 2316 East 4th Street (St. Francis Xavier Church), two disabled accessible spaces on the East 4th Street side entrance of the church
John Avenue - 5821 John Avenue - odd side only, two disabled accessible spaces (Bethel Lutheran Church)
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, unconstitutional by reason of any decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of any other section, subsection, sentence or clause or phrase or portion thereof.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication, as provided by law.
