TOWN OF SUPERIOR
LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Sealed proposals for the construction of the Local Roads Improvement Program for the Town of Superior, Douglas County, WI, will be received at the Town of Superior, 4917 S. State Road 35, Superior, WI, Attn: Ronald Pete, until 10:00 am May 10, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Place 4IN of crushed aggregate base course over existing pavement. Pulverize and relay the existing asphalt surface. Fine grade and compact the gravel base and prepare the area for paving. Place a 3IN (avg. compacted thickness) hot mix asphalt surface. Place a 2FT shoulder on each side of the road.
The proposed construction consists of 22FT x 2746FT of the Tuff Rd, beginning at Leggate Road and ending at Zachau Road. Project MUST be completed by August 30, 2021.
All pertinent documents may be examined at the Town Hall or call Rob Gronski at 715-398-7078 between 7:00 and 7:30 AM Monday thru Friday. In accordance with the WI Statute 66.0903, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Workforce Development shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under the contract.
The Town Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
