University of Wisconsin-Superior Theatre and Wise Fool Theatre will collaborate for William Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" in the Manion Theatre at UWS.
Performances, directed by Chani Ninneman, are April 26 and 27 and May 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. and April 28 and May 5 at 2 p.m.
"The Comedy of Errors" is updated to be set in the seedy underbelly of New York in the 1970s. In this tale of mistaken identity, two sets of twins are separated at birth and have recently ended up back in the same town, but they don't know the others are there. Hilarity ensues as wives berate the wrong husbands and servants serve the wrong masters.
This production marks the first collaboration for Wise Fool Theater and UWS Theatre.
Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors and students; and $5 for UW-Superior students at the door with a valid UW-Superior ID. Matinees will be by donation. Tickets may be purchased at wisefooltheatre.com.
The Manion Theatre is located in the Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, 1805 Catlin Ave.
