Superior Singers perform 'Beatles Forever'

The Superior Singers, under the direction of Brian G. MacDonell, presents its 2108 summer concert "Beatles Forever," celebrating the musical legacy of the Fab Four.

Performances include accompanied and a cappella versions from the Beatles prolific catalogue stemming from their early years to the end of the '60s. The Beatles conquered America and led a cultural revolution with not only their undeniable popularity, but also their musical influence on the changing times of the late 1960s.

Performances kick off at 1 p.m. Monday at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center, Superior. Other free public performances include:

* AAD Shrine Temple, 5152 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown, at 6 p.m. June 14.

* Salem Lutheran Church, 4715 Hermantown Road, Hermantown, at 7 p.m. June 24.

* Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St., Duluth, at 7 p.m. June 28.

* Heritage Park, North 28th Street and Hammond Avenue, Superior, at 1 p.m. July 4.

* Lake Nebagamon Auditorium at 7 p.m. July 9.

* Grace Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. July 18 as part of Hermantown Summerfest.

* St. Croix River Resort, three miles west of Danbury on State Highway 77 at 6 p.m. July 21.

* Zion Lutheran, 2022 E. Second St., Superior, at 7 p.m. Aug. 7 as part of National Night Out.

* United Presbyterian Church, 229 N. 28th St., Superior, at 7 p.m. Aug. 14.

A paid performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Sacred Heart Music Center, 201 W. Fourth St. Duluth. The cost is $10.
