The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Superior is announcing a public information meeting to discuss planned improvements on Wisconsin Highway 27 in the townships of Highland and Brule, beginning at Rush Lake Road and extending northerly to County Highway B. The meeting runs 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Brule Town Hall.

This reconstruction project scheduled for 2013 includes adding shoulder and lane width, slope flattening, realigning several sharp horizontal curves, replacing culvert pipes and repaving the roadway. The project will be constructed under traffic for a time, but a detour will be necessary for the majority of the construction project.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning the project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. The meeting is an open house format and no formal presentations are planned.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Matt Dickenson at 395-3022. Mail written comments to Dickenson, 1701 N. 4th St., Superior, WI, 548880.
