Every year The St. Croix Federation of Teachers from the School District of Solon Springs awards scholarships to graduates of Solon Springs High School who have demonstrated success in their first year of post-secondary education. This year the Federation has awarded a total of five hundred dollars to six of last year's graduates.
Four $100 scholarships have been awarded to Mark Jacobson (Michigan Institute of Technology), Shawn Norman (Arizona State University), Kyle Polzin (University of Wisconsin--La Crosse) and Kate Klinzing (Gogebic Community College). Two $50 scholarships have been awarded to Melissa Blaylock and Clyde Wermter, both students at WITC - Superior.
The teachers of the School District of Solon Springs congratulate these students on their fine accomplishments beyond high school and wish them continued success.
