Streets are closing temporarily, and trash and recycling schedules will be altered for the Fourth of July.
Belknap Street between Mortorelli Drive and Ogden Avenue closes around 10 a.m. for the parade at starts at 11 a.m. Following the parade, Tower Avenue between Belknap and Broadway streets closes for the car show and music.
Watch for the detour signs.
The Superior Public Works Department will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the holiday and garbage routes won’t be picked up that day. People should have their trash available by 7 a.m. one day earlier than normal to accommodate accelerated pickup through Thursday. There is no change to the Friday pickup schedule.
Recycling will be delayed one day for Thursday and Friday routes.
