The 10th annual Socks for Survivors golf scramble fundraiser for the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse will take place Friday, July 29, at Nemadji Golf Course, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., rain or shine.
Live music by Madison-based singer Kelsey Miles, prizes and other fun will wrap up the day in the Nemadji Club House from 1-4 p.m.
Proceeds help sustain CASDA’s programs for adults and children hurt by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. This year’s event is presented by MAC Sport & Marine.
Created in 2015, the event’s theme draws attention to the reality that survivors of violence often have to leave quickly and may arrive at CASDA with only the clothes on their backs. Donations of new socks, underwear and other basic necessities are always welcome at CASDA. Golf scramble participants are encouraged to wear their wackiest or classiest socks to qualify for prizes.
Team check-in begins at 8 a.m. The cost for a four-person team is $110 per player. Learn more and register online at: https://casda.org/event/2022-socks-for-survivors- golf-scramble-2/
