Superior High School Senior Meagan Barnard has turned her senior project into a community call to action. She is hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction to raise money for the Lymphatic Research Foundation in an effort to find a cure for the condition she suffers from, Primary Lymphedema.

Barnard began her project by partnering with Cast Clothing, a company that custom makes clothing for people with limb specific needs.

She wrote and edited "Limitless Magazine," a publication dedicated to young people with disabilities with the intention to donate money raised from magazine sales to the Lymphatic Research Foundation.

Barnard chose to add a second part to her project by hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction Thursday, April 23 at 5 p.m. at the Superior Middle School to raise even more funds for Lymphedema research,

Barnard has received numerous donations for the auction, including tanning sessions, a couture handbag and dress, a gift package from WITC, and a weekend stay at the luxurious Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Fla., among other items.
